Selma L. Neukam, 90, Haysville

Selma L. Neukam, 90, of Haysville, died Tuesday (January 2) at The Timbers of Jasper. She was born in Haysville April 27, 1927, to Edward and Eva (Baer) Breitwieser.  She married Milfred Neukam May 11, 1946. He died February 22, 2006.

Selma was a homemaker and a cook at the Knights of Columbus for many years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Cindy Neukam; four grandsons, David Neukam and wife Shelley, Haysville, Michael Neukam and wife Candace, Dawson Springs, Kentucky, Phillip Neukam, Huntingburg, and Alex Neukam, Ireland; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Mildred Hemmerlein and husband Harold, Haysville; one brother, Edwin Breitwieser, Haysville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Ron Neukam, one great-grandson, Kai Neukam, and two sisters, Helena Goller and Genevieve Seitz.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran  Church, the Dubois County Humane Society, or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be shared at  Funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial following in Emmanuel Hill Cemetery near Dubois.
