Charles Allen Napier, 69, Jasper

Charles Allen Napier, 69, of Jasper, died Wednesday (January 3) at his home. He was born in Wayne, West Virginia, March 4, 1948, to Henry and Juanita (Ferguson) Napier.  He married Gail Schneider March 13, 1971, in Walled Lake, Michigan.  

Charles served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Widefield in Security, Colorado. He spent his life working with and selling cars, owning and operating several auto body repair shops and Riverside Motors in Jasper. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, singing, and playing guitar, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail Napier; one daughter, Valerie Kippenbrock and husband Brad, Jasper;  two sons, Patrick Napier and wife Angela, Indianapolis, and David Napier and wife Karrie, Loogootee; 12 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathon, Tyler, and Andrew Gagnon, Haley, Hunter, and Hadlie Kippenbrock, Quinn Charles Napier, Aden Esquivel, Maren Smith, Keaton Allen, and Kieragen Napier; two sisters, Pauline Tate and husband Jim, Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Anita Smith and husband Gary, Wayne, West Virginia; one brother, Sherman Napier and wife Barbara, Genoa, West Virginia, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Randall Napier, and one sister, Henrietta Hoffman.  

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Jasper or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper with burial following in Shiloh Cemetery in Jasper. Pastor John Duncan will officiate. VFW Post #673 will conduct military graveside rites.
