Two More “12 Days” Recipients Announced

Dubois County (From Release) – Dubois County CASA and Girls On The Run are the fifth and sixth recipients of the 2017 Dubois County Community Foundation’s Twelve Days of Giving grants. The Twelve Days of Giving is a yearend granting blitz to 12 local nonprofits. Each recipient receives a $1,000 grant.

Dubois County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) provides a voice for abused and neglected children in the court system.

Girls On The Run is a physical activity based program that integrates running and active lifestyle with self-esteem, self-respect, and connectedness for girls in third through fifth grades in the Dubois County school corporations.

The first four announced recipients were Celestine Community Club, Camp CARE, Community CHEW, and the Dubois County Humane Society. The remaining recipients will be announced two daily at 4 p.m. through December 8 on local media. The 12 grant recipients were chosen by last year’s grant recipients with the goal of “paying it forward.”

All 12 organizations receiving grants will be eligible for a $10,000 grant chosen by the public on Facebook. The public can cast a vote on Tuesday, December 12, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the nonprofit they wish to receive the final $10,000 grant. A total of $22,000 will be granted to local charity during 12 Days of Giving.
