Paul Joseph Buschkoetter, 67, Petersburg

Paul Joseph Buschkoetter, 67, of Petersburg, died Saturday (December 2) at Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Huntingburg January 19, 1950, to Ben and Lucilla (Heim) Buschkoetter.

Paul was a retired truck driver; a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg; and loved spending time with his dog.

He is survived by two sisters, Lillian Sickbert and husband Art, Jasper, and Mary Lou Sander and husband Albert, Huntingburg; two brothers, Ben Buschkoetter, Jr. and wife Deb, Huntingburg, and Charles Buschkoetter and wife Wanda, Dubois; and sisters-in-law, Marsha Buschkoetter, Huntingburg, and Sharon Buschkoetter, Jasper.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian (Fahnders) Buschkoetter, who died February 7, 2003, three brothers, Martin, Anthony, and John Buschkoetter; and his sister and brother-in-law, Bertha and Bob Veller. Friends may call from 9-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Online condolences may be shared at Funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial following in the church cemetery. The mass will be celebrated by Father Ryan Hilderbrand.
