Lindauer Sworn In As New State Representative

INDIANAPOLIS (From Release) – Indiana State Representative-elect Shane Lindauer (R-Jasper) took the oath of office Thursday to serve as state representative for House District 63, which includes portions of Daviess, Dubois, Pike and Martin counties. Indiana Supreme Court Justice Geoffrey Slaughter administered the oath in the House Chamber of the Statehouse during a formal swearing-in ceremony.

“I am excited for the opportunity to represent the hardworking people of our area,” Lindauer said. “I look forward to drawing on my experiences as a small-business owner and a member of county government to work with my fellow legislators and continue making Indiana an excellent place to live, raise a family and do business.”

Lindauer and his wife Stacy live in Jasper with their two children. He attended Jasper High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology supervision from Indiana State University and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College. He was a member of the National Guard, served on the Dubois County Council, was a private-practice chiropractor, and has experience in running small businesses.

Lindauer will serve the remaining term of former State Representative Mike Braun of Jasper who resigned his seat in October and is presently running for the U.S. Senate from Indiana.
