4-H Expo Monday at Dubois County Fairgrounds

Jasper (NNDC) – Purdue Extension-Dubois is hosting a 4-H Expo from 6:30-8:30 Monday evening in the Clover Pavilion at the Dubois County Fairgrounds. The Expo is designed for visitors to learn more about 4-H clubs, the many 4-H events, and 4-H projects. The Expo features a number of activities and games related to 4-H, prizes, free hot dogs, chips, and drinks.

Dubois County 4-H offers a hands-on program where members learn skills and information useful for a lifetime. Today’s 4-H is popular with members from both town and country with its wide variety of projects and activities. To be eligible to join the traditional 4-H, youths must be in grades 3-12 Youths in grades K-2 may participate as a Mini 4-H member.

Projects include Construction Boys, Foods, Crafts, Forestry, Dog Obedience, Scrapbooking, Photography, and Woodworking, and many more. There are a few project based clubs including Horse & Pony, Robotics & Innovation, Shooting Sports, Clogging, Rabbits, and Junior Leaders. 4-H provides experiences to teach the youth leadership and life stills that will enhance their development and prepare them for the future.

Information about clubs, projects, and enrollments will be available at Monday’s Expo. Online enrollment is available at www.4honline.com. 4-H officials will be available to help youth enroll online at the Expo. The targeted enrollment date is January 15, 2018.
