Gerald W. Schwartz, 63, Jasper

Gerald W. Schwartz, 63, of Jasper, died Sunday (October 1) at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born in Huntingburg November 2, 1953, to Alfred J. and LaVenia S. (Padgett) Schwartz. He married Donna Hohler August 23, 1975, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.

Gerald retired from Kimball International РNational Office Furniture after more than 41 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, enjoyed going on Carnival Cruises, visiting the Smokey Mountains, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Schwartz; two sons, Brian Schwartz and wife Julie, Jasper, and Jeffrey Schwartz and wife Cari, Bloomington; three grandchildren, Henry, Thomas, and Josephine Schwartz; two sisters, Darlene Hassfurther, Ferdinand, and Judith Greulich and husband Omer, Shepherdsville, Kentucky; and two brothers, Kenneth Schwartz and wife Carolyn, Sevierville, Tennessee, and Terry Schwartz and wife Joyce, Jasper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and LaVenia Schwartz.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Funeral Home in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church or to a favorite charity.
