Driver Injured and Charged Following Accident

Huntingburg (From Sources) – A 35-year-old Huntingburg man faces numerous charges following a one-car accident Friday evening on County Road 100 West near the Huntingburg Conversation Club.

Dubois County Sheriff’s Department officials report Sean Conway was traveling south at a high rate of speed with two juvenile children (4 and 5 years of age) in his car, when lost control of the vehicle cresting a hill near the conservation club. The car went off the east side of the roadway and struck a tree, turning the vehicle 180 degrees before it came to a rest facing north. Conway stated that he was doing at least 65 miles a hour in a 45 mph zone.

He tested .095% BAC and was transported to St. Vincent Hospital for treatment of severe back injuries after being charged with operating without a license (OWI), reckless driving, and neglect of a dependent.
