Whitney Sharon Rose Patterson, 32, Evansville

Whitney Sharon Rose Patterson, 32, of Evansville, died Thursday (September 21) at her home. She was born in Jasper September 13, 1985, to Dean Patterson and Lauren (Stout) Patterson.

Whitney was a staff writer and assistant editor of News 4 U Magazine in Evansville. She was a social and political activist, a member of the Tri-State Alliance, enjoyed art,
painting, writing stories, and poetry. She loved animals; especially her pet dogs Roo and Jett.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Lauren and Max Mollette, Grandview; her father, Dean Patterson, Kaneohe, Hawaii; her fraternal grandmother, grandmother, Imogene “Jean” Patterson, Jasper; four brothers, Brian, Daniel, and John Patterson, all of Birdseye, and Eric, Kaneohe, Hawaii; one sister, Latisha, Kaneohe, Hawaii; her best friend, D’Arcei Morgan O’Leary, Evansville; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her fraternal grandfather, Robert Patterson, her maternal grandparents, Ruth Pauly and Eddie Stout, and one aunt, Sharon Stout.

Friends may call from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sunday at Christian Church in Alfordsville. There will be no visitation at the Nass and Son Funeral home, who is in charge of arrangements.
