Mary Louise Fenneman, 83, Holland

Mary Louise Fenneman, 83, of Holland, died Wednesday (September 20) at The Waters of Huntingburg. She was born in Perry County November 3, 1933, to William Arthur and Elsie (McCallister) Tanner. She married Bobby Jerome Fenneman June 2, 1956, in Tell City. He died July 23, 2016.

Mary was employed at General Church was a 50+ year member of the Eastern Star, current membership with the Birdseye Order of the Eastern Star No. 590. She loved quilting and, along with her husband Bob, created over 200 quilt tops yearly which were given to St. James Lutheran Church for the Lutheran World Relief.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Simpson and husband Mark, Ellicott City, Maryland; one sister, Marcella Vandgrift, Tullahoma, Tennessee; and two granddaughters, Chelsea Czekalski and Heather Simpson, both of Maryland.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Carmen Fenneman Lucas, six siblings, Charles Tanner, Zelda Tanner, Arthur Tanner, Martha Tanner Anderson, Raymond Tanner, and Elsie Catherine Tanner Vandgrift, and one grandson-in-law, Steve Czekalski.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. An Eastern Star vigil service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at Funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial following in the Holland Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Keith Chanley will officiate at the service.
