Lillian K. Breitwieser, 87, Dubois

Lillian K. Breitwieser, 87, of Dubois, died Thursday (September 21) at Brookside Village Health Care in Jasper. She was born in Boone Township July 8, 1930, to George and Ella (Bauer) Hupp. She married Ralph W. Breitwieser October 27, 1949, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township. He died May 15, 2011.

Lillian was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads and WELCA of the church. She taught Sunday school for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Mitchell, Evansville, and Kathy Rottet and husband Phil, Jasper; three sons, David Breitwieser and fiancé Mellissa Seifert, Haysville, Thomas Breitwieser and wife Joann, Jasper, and Gary Breitwieser and companion Tracy Cronin), Cuzco; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert Hupp, Dayton, Ohio, Charles Hupp and wife Sonya, Loogootee, and Lee Hupp and wife Eunice, Mitchell.

Friends may call from noon-7 p.m. Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Church. Online condolences may be made at Funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Church with burial following in St. John’s Cemetery. Rev. Mary Poston and Pastor Patty Rottet will officiate.
