Bernadette “Bernie” Zoglman, 85, Jasper

Bernadette “Bernie” Zoglman, 85, of Jasper, died Wednesday (September 6) at her home. She was born in Spencer County February 6, 1932, to Joseph and Katherine (Konerding) Altman. She married Alvin M. Zoglman November 19, 1949, at St. Meinrad Catholic Church. He died January 5, 1983.

Bernie retired from Kimball Electronics in Jasper. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, fishing, baking, and cooking.

She is survived by one daughter, Marla Braunecker and husband Kenny, St. Anthony; two son, Dennis Zoglman and wife Linda, Haysville, and Scott Zoglman and wife Diane, Jasper; four grandchildren; and one sister, Pauline Morrow and husband Cliff, Castroville, Texas.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Ernie Zoglman, one sister, Marie Altman, and six brothers, Leo, Albert, Clarence, Robert, and Sylvester Altman and Leo Altman, died in childbirth.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church or to a favorite charity.
