Harvey DilgerHarvey H. Dilger, 79, of Jasper, died Saturday (August 29) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. He was born in Mariah Hill August 11, 1938, to Richard F. and Gertrude (Bettag) Dilger. He married Betty L. Woebkenberg September 9, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale.

Harvey retired from Kimball International after 45 years of service. He was also a self-employed painter. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper and served in the Indiana Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Dilger; one daughter, Karen Tuell and husband Charles Jr., Jasper; one son, Brian L. Dilger, Plainfield, four grandchildren, Lori and Holly Dilger, and Dillon and Josh Tuell, two sisters, Patricia Douglas and Jackie Meyer, both of Dale, and one brother, Tim Dilger and wife Barb of Jasper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Gertrude Dilger.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, and from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church, the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church with burial following in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.
