Bone Marrow Registration Drive Scheduled

JASPER (From Releases) – The Dubois County Leukemia Association, Old National Bank, and the American Red Cross have announced plans for a Be The Match Bone Marrow Registration Drive in conjunction with a blood drive. Both drives will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, in the lower level conference room at the Old Naitonal Bank main office, One DCB Place, in Jasper.

The Bone Marrow Registry involves paperwork and a cheek swab for individuals 18 to 44 years of age and puts them in the National Registry with the opportunity to save a life. For thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. The cure is a bone marrow transplant. To register, or for more information email dcleukemia@psci.net.
