Ronald R. Neukam, 68, Ireland

Ron NeukamRonald R. Neukam, 68, of Ireland, died Monday (August 14) at his home. He was born in Jasper February 20, 1949, to Milfred and Selma (Breitweiser) Neukam. He married Cindy Fuhrman September 28, 1979, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township.

Ronald was a custodian for Shiloh United Methodist Church in Jasper for eight years. He was member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and the Haysville Volunteer Fire Department, where he retired after approximately 25 years of service. He was a member of one of the first First Responder teams in Haysville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing things, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Neukam; his mother, Selma Neukam, Jasper; four sons, Dave Neukam and wife Shelley, Haysville, Mike Neukam and wife Candance, Dawson Springs, Kentucky, Phillip Neukam, Huntingburg, and Alex Neukam, Ireland; three granddaughters, Harlie Zehr and Nichole and Remington Neukam; two grandsons, Landon and Hunter Neukam; and two great-grandsons, Keaton and Hudson Neukam.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milfred Neukam, and one grandson, Kai Neukam.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh UMC. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh Church with burial following in Emmanuel Hill Cemetery in Dubois. Rev. Dan Sinkhorn and Pastor Paul Alvey will officiate.
