Local Youth Minister Earns National Certification



Jasper (Local Sources) – St. John Bosco Youth Minister, Angie Greulich, received notification of her Certification in Youth Ministry Studies on August 8th, 2017.  Her successful completion required her to meet the educational and pastoral requirements necessary to hold a Certification in Youth Ministry Studies from the Center for Ministry Development.

Founded in 1978, The Center for Ministry Development, housed in Gig Harbor, Washington, promotes the development of ministry and catechesis with youth and families through leadership formation, service learning, and resources rooted in Catholic tradition and Scripture.

Required coursework for this certification includes Practice & Principles in Youth Ministry, Foundations for Ministry Leadership, Skills for Christian Leadership, Evangelization & Catechesis, Prayer & Worship, Justice & Service and Pastoral Care. The Center has built a reputation of excellence through its work with over 150 Catholic dioceses and organizations in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, and Belize

Greulich, also an alumni of St. Meinrad School of Theology, plans to continue her work with the local Catholic parishes and looks forward to participating in local youth-serving organizations to strengthen and support youth through their teen and young adult years. St. John Bosco Youth Ministry is collaborative effort of Holy Family, Precious Blood, Saint Joseph parishes in Jasper and St. Mary parish in Ireland, IN. They provide opportunities for youth to get to know God, grow in their Catholic faith and serve the community with a spirit of Christian service.
