Huntingburg Woman Arrested For OWI After SUV Crashes; Overturns

Huntingburg (NNDC) – A 42-year old Huntingburg woman was arrested for OWI after crashing her SUV Tuesday night near Southridge High School.

Tanya Lindauer escaped serious injury though she was entrapped in the SUV for a short time after the accident occured which was at about 9:20p along U. S. 231 in front of SHS.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says Lindauer was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hosptial in Jasper for back pain.

DCSD says Lindauer’s blood alcohol content tested .175% at the hospital.

She was taken into custody on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.

DCSD says she was also cited for having expired license plates.

DCSD says Lindauer was driving southbound on U. S. 231 when the SUV left the roadway and overturned on the west side of the highway just south of the high school entrance; damaging a culvert.
