Jasper Man Facing Several Felony Charges Following Domestic Dispute Involving Handgun

Washington, IN (NNDC) – A Jasper man was taken into custody by Daviess County authorities Thursday morning on Dubois County Circuit Court warrant in connection with a domestic dispute a week ago at the man’s home in Jasper.

29-year old Justin Miller is charged with robbery resulting in bodily harm and armed robbery, both charges Level 3 felonies along with domestic battery and theft of a firearm, both Level 6 felonies.  Miller also faces misdemeanor charges of carrying a handgun without a license and criminal mischief.

Jasper Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at Miller’s home in the 300 block of Wagner Street shortly before 10pm last Thursday (July 20th)

Police say Miller got into a verbal argument with the victim over money that became physical.   Miller left the scene before officers arrived at this home.

The female victim did suffer some minor injuries as a result of physical contact between the two.

Miller was returned to Dubois County late this morning.

Miller will appear in Dubois Circuit Court Friday morning.
