Death Investigation Shakes Soul Of Birdseye (VIDEO)

UPDATE (NNDC)  –  Birdseye (NNDC) – This afternoon, the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department  determined the death of 49-year old Darin Adkins found Wednesday in a mobile home north of Birdseye was a homicide.

DCSD says its investigation into Adkins’ death is still underway.

At this time, DCSD says they do not have a suspect.

Birdseye (NNDC) – Investigators have released the name of the man found dead inside a rural mobile home Wednesday afternoon north of Birdseye.

Meanwhile, Dubois County Coroner Bob Veatch says blunt force trauma to the brain is believed to the cause of 49-year old Darin Adkins’ death…

Adkins was found dead in this mobile home north of Birdseye not long after a woman called the Sheriff’s Department saying there was a dead man in the home.

DCSD has not released any more information but an Indiana State Police Crime Scene tech team was called in and they remain at the home Thursday morning.

Its also not known what the relationship was between Adkins and the woman who called 911.

The call to DCSD was just before 2 oclock Wednesday afternoon.

With so many questions still awaiting answers, the death and investigation has shaken the soul of this small southeast Dubois County town…. (COMMENT FROM PASTOR HAROLD BAYER/BIRDSEYE NEW HOPE BAPTIST CHURCH)

Sgt. Tom Kleinhelter is heading the investigation for DCSD.
