After Almost 10 Years; State Resumes Control Of I-69 Construction (VIDEO)

Martinsville (NNDC/WEHT) – Though I-69 does not pass through Dubois County, many of us do use the highway for trips to Bloomington and Indianapolis.

However, the new interstate is still under construction north of Bloomington as the state is converting four-laned state highway 37.  That construction began nine years ago with what appears to be no end in sight!

But that might change as the Indiana Department of Transportation is now taking over the highway’s construction from a private developer the state hired more than 10 years ago.
