Domestic Dispute Leads To Felony Charge Arrest

MattinglyJasper (Local Sources) – A Huntingburg man has been arrested charged with recklessness and neglect following domestic dispute Saturday night in Jasper.

Jasper police say 28-year old Joshua Mattingly (pictured) was involved in a dispute with a female.  JPD says during the dispute Mattingly broke a vehicle window with his elbow.

Police say an infant was in the vehicle and suffered an injury from shattered glass.

JPD says before officers arrived at the home in the 1400 lock of Franklin Street, Mattingly fled in a vehicle that was headed southbound from the Franklin Street address.

Mattingly’s car was stopped later in the evening by Huntingburg Police.

Police say Memorial Hospital EMS units were dispatched to the home on Franklin Street for the infant and to the scene in Huntingburg to treat a cut to Mattingly’s forearm.

Mattingly is charged with a Level 5 felony count of neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury and a preliminary misdemeanor count of criminal recklessness.
