One Lifeflighted After Accident South Of Holland (VIDEO)

UPDATE (NNDC) – The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says 18-year old Brady Hile of Dale was the driver who was injured in Thursday evening’s accident just south of Holland.

DCSD says it appears Hile fell asleep while traveling southbound on 161.  His car crossed the centerline and into the path of a northbound semi tractor-trailer driven by 36-year old Jeremy Smith of North Dakota.   The left side of the car struck the trailer’s driver’s side rear wheels.

Hile, who had to be extracated from his vehicle, was lifeflighted from the scene to St. Vincent’s Hospital (formerly St. Mary’s Medical Center) in Evansville.  He is listed in “good condition” according to a hospital spokesperson.

Smith escaped injury.
