Dubois County Art Guild 49th Annual Exhibit Winners Announced

Jasper (Local Sources) – The Jasper Community Art’s Commission is pleased to announce the 49th Annual Dubois County Art Guild Exhibit in the Krempp Gallery at the Jasper Arts Center.

The exhibit will feature work by local artists who belong to the guild, many of whom are well known in the area.  It will include work in a variety of mediums.

Oil, Acrylic, Oil Pastel

First Place went to Kyle Eckert for “Blooms for You”.

Second Place to Randalyn Clabaugh for “The Four Seasons” and Third Place to Barb McCullough for “Glendale Waterlilies”.

Honorable Mention to Charlene Brown for “Little Miss Sunshine”, Kim Wilson for “Morning in Venice” and Charlene Brown for “Farm on Steinbottom Rd”.

Watercolor and Related Water Media

First Place given to Nancy Gerber for “Pigeon Creek Church”.

Second Place to Nancy Gerber for “Smokey Mountain Creek” and Third Place to Sue Taylor for “Bluebird Charmer”.

Drawing

First Place to Barb McCullough for “Spring Grazing of the Woolies”, Second Place to Barb McCullough for “Sunlight in Cades Cove’s Valley” and Third Place to Kim Wilson for “The Jazz Man”

Mixed Media

First Place awarded to Yvonne Hogan for “Heron in Flight”, Second Place to Randalyn Clabaugh for “Dockside” and Third Place to Yvonne Hogan for “Surprise”.

Trophies

The Loland Hartke Neukam Memorial Trophy for Oil Landscape went to Randalyn Clabaugh for “The Four Seasons”.

The Jeanne Schnell Memorial Trophy for Watercolor Landscape went to Nancy Gerber for “Pigeon Creek Church”.

The Silvia de Correa 25th Anniversary Trophy for Most Creative Work of Art went to Randalyn Clabaugh for “Dockside”.

The Lillian Doane First President’s Trophy for Oil Painting went to Kyle Eckert for “Blooms for You”.

The Rosemarye Ruxer Memorial Award went to Randalyn Clabaugh for “The Four Seasons”.

The exhibit will be in the Krempp Gallery from, July 5th – July 30th, 2017.  A public reception will be held on Thursday July 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  During the reception, small paintings will be given away.  This is always a very popular show and not one to be missed!

The Krempp Gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm, until 7 pm on Thursdays, and on Sundays from noon to 3 pm. It is also open by appointment by calling (812) 482-3070.  School groups, clubs, and students are welcome.

The Krempp Gallery is managed by the Jasper Community Arts, a department of the City of Jasper. The JCA is supported by the Friends of the Arts, Inc., the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
