Paul Myers

Paul Myers, Jr., 87, of Winslow, died Monday (June 12) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper. He was born in Ayrshire January 5, 1930, to Paul Sr. and Esther (Tisdale) Myers. He married Karen Ridgway September 8, 1970, at Shaker Prairie Church.

Paul was a member of the United Mine Workers and retired from the Amax Coal Company. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Oakland City and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Myers; two daughters, Annette Trout and husband John, Holland, and Kaye Houchins, French Lick; two sisters, Faye Winkler, Vincennes, and Rhonda Hoover, Oakland City; one brother, Mike Knight, Oakland City; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents he was preceded by one brother, Jerry Knight.

A private graveside service will be held in Augusta Cemetery. John Trout will officiate the service. The Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at
