Larry A. Marks, 79, Jasper

Larry MarksLarry A. Marks, 79, of Jasper, died Tuesday (June 6) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Campus in Jasper. He was born in Jasper March 2, 1938, to Edward and Anna (Bellner) Marks. He married Jeanne Ebert September 16, 1961 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

Larry was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Kimball where he was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, and enjoyed spending time at his cabin, four wheeling, gardening, playing cards, and time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Marks; two sons, Andrew Marks and wife Lourdes, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Paul Marks and wife Kelly, Jasper; two daughters, Toni Mundy and husband Bret, Birdseye, and Vicki Meiring and husband Steve, Jasper; five grandchildren, Kristofer and Whitney Mundy, Alex and Patrick Meiring, and Benjamin Marks; one great-grandson, Preston Mundy; two brothers, Joe (Carole) Marks and wife Carole, Jasper, and Ron Marks and wife Margie, Celestine; two sisters, Charlotte Bell and husband Barry, Shawnee, Kansas, and Kathy Fulkerson and husband Mike, Huntingburg; and sister-in-law Virginia Marks, Ferdinand.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Marilee Kreilein, and one brother, Bob Marks.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Precious Blood Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Church or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.becherkluesner.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Precious Blood Church in Jasper with entombment following in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. American Legion Post No. 147 will conduct military graveside rites.
