Earl Anthony Paulin, 85, Siberia

earl paulinEarl Anthony Paulin, 85, of Siberia, died Saturday (June 3)passed away, Saturday at his home. He was born in Unionrown August 9, 1931, to Anthony J. and Ella (Merkley) Paulin. He married Therese Messmer July 30, 1955, at St. Ferdinand Church.

Earl was retired from DMI and was also a farmer. He was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Therese Paulin;  three sons, Gregory Paulin and wife Micki and Anthony Paulin and wife Ruth, all of Ferdinand and Jeffrey Paulin, Siberia; three daughters, Brenda Schuetter and husband Glen, Birdseye, Cheryl (Tim) Sherman and husband Tim, Siberia, and Patricia Reckelhoff and husband Chris, St. Anthony; one sister, Eileen Gehlhausen, Bristow; one brother, Richard Paulin and wife Noreida, Bristow; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Patrick Paulin in infancy, one sister, Rosalie Gehlhausen; and two grandsons, Steven and Eric Hempfling.

Friends may call from 1-7 p.m. Tuesday and from 7-8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com.  Funeral services at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia with burial following in the church cemetery. Military graveside rites will be provided by St. Meinrad Legion Post No. 366.
