Donald Hall, 87, Cuzco

Donald HallDonald Hall, 87, of Cuzco, died Thursday (June 1) at his home. He was born in Cuzco December 11, 1929, to Robert and Grace (Conrad) Hall. He married Edith Wineinger September 4, 1954, in Huntingburg.

Donald retired as an ammunition specialist from Crane Naval Base. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He was an avid coon hunter and was recognized as the PKC Coon Hunting World Champion in 2000. He raised Walker Coon Dogs and was a member of the Professional Kennel Club and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Hall; four daughters, Paula Wininger and husband Jim, Deb Kluesner and husband John, Karen Kempf and husband Rick, and Cindy Dorsam and husband Kieth, all of Dubois; two sons, Mike Hall and wife Chris, Cuzco, and Jim Hall and wife Sharon, Dubois; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and three sisters, Wilma Dorsam and Susie Craig, both of Huntingburg, and Chris Egg, Arkansas.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson, Bo Hall, and two brothers, Bobby Gene and Channing Hall.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cuzco Cemetery Fund or a favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at Funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial following in Cuzco Cemetery. Pastor Al Madden will officiate. VFW Post No. 673 will conduct military graveside rites.
