Edward Thomas Lemond, Sr., 86, Evansville

Edward LemondEdward Thomas Lemond, Sr., 86, of Evansville, died Tuesday (May 23) at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. He was born in Duff June 12, 1930, to Orville and Catherine (Nolen) Lemond.

Edward retired from the United States Air Force as a tech sergeant after 20 years of service. He enjoyed bowling and collecting and building clocks

He is survived by his wife, Reva Theis; two daughters, Marie Enlow and husband Dan, Boonville, and Nancy Mutchman and husband Tom, Huntingburg; four sons, Ed Lemond, Jr., and wife Deborah, Jasper, Mike Lemond and wife Debbie, Winslow, and Paul Lemond and wife Susan and Jeff Lemond, all of Huntingburg; four brothers, James, Oscar, Albert, and Charlie Lemond; five sisters, Margaret Brown, Mary Ann Bohnert, Ester Peach, Henrietta Toby, and Melba Montgomery; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Pete, Robert, Billy, and Joe Lemond.

Friends may call from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Online condolences may be shared at www.nassandson.com. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial following in Mayo Cemetery near Duff. The V.F.W. Post No. 2366 memorial detail will conduct military graveside rites.
