DCSD Seeks ‘Hit-And-Run’ Vehicle As Well As ‘Windmill Thief’

Jasper (NNDC) – The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in resolving to recent crimes.

DCSD says it is looking for the truck, and its driver, that the scene of an accident that happened early Monday afternoon (12:43pm) at the intersection of Indiana 162 and Schnellville Road near the Dubois County Highway Department garage.

DCSD says a male was driving the blue, or possibly green, full-size regular cab truck.   DCSD says the truck is possibly a Ford or Dodge model.  DCSD says it struck another pickup at the intersection and left the scene. The truck being sought will have significant damage to its front end.  DCSD says the suspect vehicle had a golf cart or a side-by-side vehicle in the back.

DCSD is also asking for the public’s help with identifying the man who they say stole a five-foot tall decorative windmill from a residence outside Huntingburg Saturday.

DCSD says the man is believed to be in his 60s and heavyset.  DCSD says the man took the red windmill from a residence in 7800 block of Indiana 64 about three and a half miles west of Huntingburg at about 7:30pm Saturday.

DCSD says the man was driving a green truck with a camper shell. He was last seen leaving the residence heading west on Indiana 64.
