Jasper Woman Charged With Burglary Of Local Home

Jasper (NNDC) – A rural Jasper woman has been arrested on a Level 4 count of burglary.

39-year old Dawn Prechtel is charged with entering a local residence back on April 15th and stealing in excess of 20 ‘old’ coins.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says Prechtel was known to the burglarized home’s residents and was seen acting “nervously with sweat coming from her face” when approached in the doorway of the home before she reportedly left in a hurry by car.

DCSD says Prechtel was taken into custody at work Thursday afternoon.
