Olive I. Whitten, 99, Huntingburg

Olive I. Whitten, 99, of Huntingburg, died Tuesday (April 18) at Hamilton Pointe Health and Rehab in Newburgh. She was born in Huntingburg November 17, 1917, to William Hamilton and Merona Ellen (Songer) Cato. She married Ronald Whitten March 12, 1937.

Olive was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Whitten, Haysville, Rita Bell, Evansville, Karen Curtis and husband Don, LaVaca, Arkansas, and Tonda Fehribach and husband Kevin, Holland; one son, Terry Whitten and wife Carolyn, Huntingburg; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Whitten, one brother, Roy Cato, and four sisters, Clara Christopher, Laura Rohleder, Mildred Emmons, and Pearl Singer.
