Huntingburg (Local Sources) – Three Southridge Raiders will play football in college this coming fall.
SHS Athletic Director Brett Bardwell says Jack Michel has committed to play at Indiana State.
Michel, a 6-foot-1, 210 pound will follow his dad’s footsteps. His dad Evan lettered two years with the Sycamores (1989, 1990).
Indiana State is an NCAA Division I FCS program and a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.
Michel, a multi-sport student-athlete at Southridge, also to the 2017 IHSAA State Finals in Wrestling last month in the 195-pound division.
Michel has announced that he will sign a national letter of intent April 14th during a signing ceremony planned at SHS.
Meanwhile, two Southridge football teammates have also announced plans to play at the college level.
Bardwell says running back/defensive back Ross Eckert will sign with Hanover College on May 8 and split end/defensive back Braden Harding with Manchester on May 15th.
Both Hanover and Manchester are members of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (NCAA III).
