Huntingburg (NNDC) – Huntingburg police say a local bank branch employee has been arrested for stealing an undetermined amount of money from her employer.

Huntingburg police launched an investigation after it was contacted by the German American Bank branch manager back on March 7th about possible internal theft.

That investigation led to the arrest Thursday of 18-year-old Sol Martinez Castellanos of Huntingburg on charges of forgery, theft, and fraud.

Huntingburg police say their investigation continues.  At this time it is still not determined how much money has been taken from the bank.

Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest Of Evansville Man On Drug Charges

Jasper (NNDC) – Jasper police say a traffic stop for an expired license plate resulted in the arrest of a 44-year-old Evansville man for possession of methamphetamine (Level 6 felony).

A Jasper Police Department officer pulled over a vehicle with a trailer at about 10:50pm Thursday at 7th and Newton Street as the trailer had the expired license plate.

After pulling over the vehicle, JPD’s K-9 officer, Ares, was brought to the scene.

JPD says the K-9 did detect the presense of narcotics in the vehicle which later field-tested positive as Methamphetamine.

The driver of the vehicle, Joseph Brown of Evansville was taken into custody.
