Edward George Kupper, 83, Huntingburg

Edward KupperEdward George Kupper, 83, of Huntingburg, died Thursday (March 30) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in St. Meinrad October 6, 1933, to Herman and Margaret (Stratman) Kupper. He married Peggy J. Eckert October 6, 2010, in Huntingburg.

Edward was employed as a steel worker in Martinsville until his retirement. He was a member of Northside Christian Church in Huntingburg and enjoyed playing rummy, working word puzzles, and watching wrestling and The Family Feud.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy J. (Eckert) Kupper; one son, Gabriel “Gabe” Kupper and wife Sherry, Winslow; two daughters, Suzette (Doug) Bolin and husband Doug, Holland, and Melissa Garrett and husband Chuck, Stendal; one step-daughter, Angie Harper and husband Ed, DuQuoin, Illinois; one brother, Joe Kupper, Huntingburg; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Goller, Theresa Kline, Helen Kelvins, and Ann Hurm; and three brothers, Eugene, Clemines, and John Kupper.

Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Northside Christian Church. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg is in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to Northside Christian Church.
