Knies Throws One-Hit Shutout In Jasper Win At Jeffersonville

Jeffersonville (Local Sources) – Senior Olivia Knies was almost untouchable in the circle as Jasper gets a road win at Jeffersonville Saturday.

Jasper jumped out to an early lead in the first inning on a bases loaded walk to Alexa Stenftenagel.

Knies earned the complete game win for Jasper, giving up zero runs, one hit, 1 walk and two strike outs. A single in the second inning by Jeffersonville left fielder Meghan Lay was the only hit for Jeffersonville.

Jennah Tincher took the loss for Jeffersonville. She also pitched a 7-inning complete game, surrendering four runs, seven hits, 2 walks and one strike out.

Grace Werner and Alexa Stenftenagel collected 2 hits each to lead the Jasper hitting attack

Alexa Stenftenagel, Lexie Jerger, Emily Heim, and Jessica Mehringer all had RBI’s for the Wildcats.

Jasper takes next week off for spring break before returning to action Tuesday April 4th when they host the Heritage Hills Patriots.
