Anna Kathryn Blessinger, 84, Holland

Anna BlessingerAnna Kathryn Blessinger, 84, of Holland, died Thursday (March 23) at her home. She was born in Derby April 23, 1932, to Henry Albert and Mary Blaundina (Evrard) Hubert. She married Cletus Conrad Blessinger August 31, 1957, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. He died February 13, 1998.

Anna was a bookkeeper, seamstress, quilter, homemaker, and grandmother. She was a
member of St. Mary’ Church and its Ladies Sodality.

She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Walter and husband Douglas, Indianapolis, Michelle Knight, Washington, Mona Haas, Jasper, and Sandy Horton and husband Keith, Huntingburg; two sons, Larry Blessinger and wife Beth, Westfield, and Cletus Blessinger, Jr., and wife Mary, Bloomington; three sisters, Madonna (Wes) Leibering and husband Wes and Rose Waters and husband Louis, all of Huntingburg, and Ramona Brosmer and husband Bob, Jasper; sister-in-law Dorothy Sitzman, St Meinrad; brother-in-law Myron Runyan, Huntingburg; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. A parish vigil prayer service, led by Deacon Tom Holsworth, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to The National Breast Cancer Foundation or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Ryan Hilderbrand.
