Lucille M. Hochgesang, 98, St. Anthony

Lucille HochgesangLucille M. Hochgesang, 98, of St. Anthony, died Saturday (February 25) at Brookside Village in Jasper. She was born in Celestine July 14, 1918, to August and Theresia (Prechtel) Betz. She married Raymond W. Hochgesang May 17, 1947, at St. Celestine Catholic Church. He died May 12, 2004.

Lucille was a homemaker and worked at Masterbrand Cabinets for over 10 years. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, the St. Anthony Community Center, and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Boehm (Tom), and husband Tom, and Susan Reckelhoff and husband Dave, all of St. Anthony; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Mae Borgmann and Selma Hackman, and three brothers, Ray and Leo Betz, and Othmar Betz, who died in infancy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
