UPDATE: Baby; Mother Injured In Two-Vehicle Jasper Accident (VIDEO)

Jasper (NNDC) – Indiana State Police at Jasper say a mother and her baby were injured in a two-vehicle Wednesday night accident on Jasper’s southside.

Police say 15-year old Beronica Dubon of Huntingburg was driving a car southbound on Meridian Road just before 9:00pm but failed to yield to traffic at the intersection of Indiana 162 and collided with a second car that was westbound on the highway.

ISP says the impact caused Dubon’s unrestrained baby to be ejected from her car.  Jasper Fire Department first responders had to extricate Dubon from her vehicle.

ISP says the nine-month old baby was lifeflighted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville where she is listed in stable condition.  Monica Dubon was taken to St. Mary’s by ambulance and is also listed in stable condition.

The driver of the second car, 28-year old Morgan Schnarr suffered a lacerated knee in the accident.  She was taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper for treatment.

Her car ended up off  the side of the highway and in a field from the force of the impact.
