Alledged WalMart Shoplifter Identified; Arrested

suspectJasper (Local Sources) – The Jasper Police Department says thanks to the public’s assistance, the female shoplifting suspect at Walmart Monday was identified and turned herself in at Jasper Police Department at approximately 0900 hrs this morning.

32-year old Stephanie Spring of Loogootee turned herself in to JPD Tuesday. 

Police say she was wanted for taking various merchandise from the store including craft items, home décor and clothing.

She is charged with Theft (Class A misdemeanor)

Jasper (NNDC) – Jasper police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a female shoplifting suspect.

Shortly before 2PM Monday, a Walmart Asset Protection employee contacted JPD about a female fleeing the store after she was confronted about shoplifting.

Police says the woman left the area in a metallic blue Subaru passenger car believed to be a Legacy.  Police say the vehicle might have a dealer plate on it.

JPD and Walmart have released a surveillance photo of the woman.  CLICK FOR LARGER VIEW.
