Kimberly S. Sermersheim, 46, Huntingburg

Kimberly SermersheimKimberly S. Sermersheim, 46, of Huntingburg, died Saturday (February 18). She was born August 5, 1970, to Lawrence E. and Rita M. (Wagner) Sermersheim.

Kim was a 1988 graduate of Southridge High School. She attended the University of Southern Indiana where she joined Delta Zeta Sorority. She transferred to Vincennes University and graduated with a degree in accounting. She worked as a bookkeeper for Northside Machining Incorporated in Huntingburg. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality and served as a Sacristan. She loved animals (especially her dog, Maddie), crafts, sewing, wood burning art, reading, and more. She enjoyed attending her nieces and nephews’ piano concerts and their school and sporting events.

She is survived by her parents, Lawrence and Rita Sermersheim, two brothers, Kevin J., Birdseye, and Keith A. and wife Connie, Evansville; one sister, Katherine L., West Lafayette; one niece, Maria; five nephews, Kyle (Devon), Luke (wife Jill), Benjamin, Jacob and Christopher; one great niece, Reagan; one great nephew. Mason; her maternal grandmother, Caroline Wagner; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. A parish rosary and ladies sodality prayer vigil will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial donations to be made to St. Mary’s Church or to the Dubois County Humane Society. Online condolences may be shared at A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church followed by burial in the church cemetery.
