Jasper Man Facing Several Charges; 72 Hypodermic Syringes Found In His Home

MillerJasper (NNDC) – A tip from a concerned citizen has led to the arrest of a 19-year old Jasper man on several charges including three drug-related felonies.

Police arrested Devin Miller (pictured) at his place of employment after police executed a search warrant of his apartment home on Jasper’s near westside.

After receiving the tip, Jasper police determined it was “highly likely Miller’s residence in the 400 block of west 6th Street contained what police described as “illegal substances.”

Police say Miller was located at his place of employment at about 1:30pm Wednesday and was detained while a request for a search warrant of his home was sought.

Police say Miller denied a search of his residence.

After the search warrant was granted, JPD says officers found two grams of marijuana, legend drugs and drug paraphernalia in the residence, along with 72 hypodermic syringes, Anabolic steroids and alcohol.

Police say Miller is charged with Possession of a Legend Drug (Level 6 felony), Possession of Anabolic Steroids (Level 6 felony) and Possession of Hypodermic Needles (Level 6 felony).  He also faces misdemeanor charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Alcohol (by a minor).
