Thomas SmithThomas Smith Sr., 72, of Jasper, died Saturday (February 4) at Good Samaritan Nursing & Rehab in Oakland City. He was born in Indianapolis June 24, 1944, to Joseph and Ruth (Geisking) Smith. He married Patricia Trimble February 7, 1964, at New Whiteland.

Tom retired from Kimball Electronics where he worked for many years. He was a member of CrossPoint Fellowship Church in Jasper.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pat Smith; two daughters, Carla Mehringer and husband Doug, Jasper, and Amy Hinderliter and husband Andy, Greenwood; two sons, Thomas Smith, Jr. and wife Judy, Velpen, and Bradley Smith and wife Anik, Pikeville; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Smith, Indianapolis, John Smith and wife Margaret, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Jerry Smith and wife Vivian, Chicago; and one sister, Judy Lowrey and husband Jim, Florida.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Bill and Jack Smith, and four sisters, Betty Imhausen, Laverne Nibarger, Mary Meisenheimer and Martha Daughtery.

Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday at CrossPoint Fellowship Church. Funeral services at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
