Chico Denu

Ronald L. “Chico” Denu, 70, of Bristow, died Thursday (February 2) at his home. He was born in Bristow May 22, 1946, to Hilbert and Gladys (Quinlin) Denu.

Chico was retired from Kimball International. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and arrowhead hunting. H loved spending time with family and friends as well as his dog Molly.

He is survived by one son, Todd Denu, Huntingburg; three daughters, Deann Mann and husband Tony, Loogootee, Lisa Long, Huntingburg, and Tina Vaal and husband Bret, Bretzville; two brothers, Kenny Denu and wife Maryu and Steve Denu and wife Angie, all of Jasper; six grandchildren, Joshua, Jared and Jordan Mann, Kaylyn and Andrew Long Jr., and Hailey Vaal; and one great-grandson, Zander Mann.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Uyeno and Joann Denu, one brother, Hilbert A. Denu, and one grandson, Garrett Vaal.

Friends may call from 1-7 p.m. Sunday and from 8-9:30 a.m. Monday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Online condolences maybe shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Siberia with burial following in the church cemetery. St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366 will conduct military graveside rites.
