Memorial Names Gardener & Daisy Award Winners

Jasper (Local Sources) – Jasper – Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is excited to announce the next recipient is of the GARDENER Award is Lori Myers of Memorial Hospital’s Sleep Center!

Myers has been described as a loyal employee in her department and is always going over and beyond for patients and co-workers. She has been described as exemplifying the concept of “Being for Others”.

In a news release, hospital officials say Myers is a wonderful example of patience and compassion!

Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center created The GARDENER Award as a result of the internationally known DAISY Award that recognizes the super-human efforts nurses perform every day. Memorial Hospital is fully aware that it takes an entire team to function as a hospital.

This team includes not only the nurses, but also maintenance, billers, therapists, medical records, food service, etc.

Every employee is necessary and plays an important role every day. The nurses would not be able to provide the proper care to patients without the appropriate support staff.

The GARDENER Award was created to acknowledge incredible support staff that goes above and beyond his/her regular call of duty.

Meanwhile, Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center has also announced the next recipient is of the DAISY Award is Kelly Collins, RN, Critical Care Services!

Collins has been described as extending compassion to all her patients, creating special connections which provide patients with remarkable and memorable experiences. Memorial Hospital is blessed to have Collins as part of the family!

The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center is proud to be a DAISY Award Partner, recognizing one of our nurses with this special honor each quarter.
