OUR EARLIER STORY ON THE TRUCK THEFT…

Ferdinand (NNDC) – Ferdinand police and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department are asking for the public’s help in finding a female they say abandoned a stolen vehicle Thursday.

FPD officers were called to the 1800 block of Main Street for a report of a possible vehicle on fire.  When police arrived, they found a red  four-wheel drive pickup truck that had experienced ‘mechanical failure,’ and had slightly run off Main Street at the entrance to the Dollar General Store.

FPD says the female driving the truck entered the business, but she fled out the back door a short time later before officers arrived on scene.

Anyone with information about the female being sought is asked to contact the Dubois County Sheriffs Department at 812-482-3255. All calls can be kept confidential.
