Rotary Club Hosts “Four-Way” Speech Contest

Rotary Club of Jasper Speech ContestJasper (Local Sources) – The Rotary Club of Jasper recently hosted a “Four-Way Speech Contest!”

The contest was held January 14th at VU Jasper Campus’s  Center for Technology, Innovation, and Manufacturing.

The topic of the speech focused on the Four-Way Test, leadership and service.

The Four-Way Test is used by Rotarians world-wide as a moral code for personal and business relationships. 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3, Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The Rotary Club of Jasper congratulates Melanie Patterson, Junior at Jasper High School (pictured with contest chairperson Kayla Dooley with the Rotary) after receiving the local contest’s $500.00 Scholarship.

Melanie will now represent the Rotary Club of Jasper at the contest’s “District” level to be held in Bedford March 4th.
