Henry Huff Obituary Photo820_edited-1Henry Thomas Huff, 71, of Birdseye, died Sunday (January 22) at his home. He was born in Kyana June 11, 1945, to Thomas Franklin and Evelyn (Basinger) Huff. He married Linda S. Welp May 5, 1979, in Siberia.

Henry was a retired manager at Best Chairs in Ferdinand. He was a member of Bethlehem Masonic Lodge No. 574 in Birdseye and the Bethel Christian Church in Doolittle Mills. He enjoyed gardening, caring for his animals, fishing, talking with friends, and reading.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Huff; one sister, Lola (Kenneth) Gilmore and husband Kernneth, Birdseye; sister-in-law Karen Eaton and husband Kenneth, English; one niece, Rhonda Hochgesang, Jasper; four nephews, Daniel Gilmore, Huntingburg, Jim Gilmore, Sumter, South Carolina, Jason Eaton, St. Croix, and Christopher Eaton, Franklin; and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Carrender, one brother, who died in infancy, Curtis Huff, one niece, Kenneta Merder, and one nephew, John Gilmore.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Vigil services by the Birdseye Order of the Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge No. 574 will be held at 7:00 p.m.Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Birdseye Masonic Lodge, the Shriners Hospitals for Children or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial follow in Cox Cemetery near Kyana. Rev. Jack Wilson will officiate.
