NNDC To Televise Local Bowling Sectional

jasper bowling stateJasper (NNDC) – NewsNow Dubois County will televise ‘LIVE’ the local sectional of the 2017 Indiana High School Bowling State Tournament later this month.

The sectional will take place on Saturday, January 28th at Kingpin Bowl in Washington.

All four local schools have bowling teams competing – Jasper, Forest Park, Northeast Dubois, and Southridge.

The sectional will air on the NNDC webchannel (www.NewsNowDC.com/nndc-tv/) and on its new cable TV channel 183 (Time-Warner subscribers).

NewsNow Dubois County Executive Producer, Mick Birge says, “The bowling tournament helps NNDC meet our commitment to covering local events of interest, and it allows us the opportunity to recognize young athletes in sports that aren’t as regularly covered, such as basketball and football.”

NNDC plans to televise both the individual sectional finals and the team sectional finals.

There will be two telecasts on the 28th, times TBD.

In addition to the Sectional, NNDC will also televise the regional and semi-state rounds of the IHSB Tournament if any local team(s) is competing.

The Jasper Wildcats are not only the defending Sectional Champions, but they are also the defending State Champions (pictured).
