Raiders Cruise To Win; Jasper Loses At Buzzer At Vincennes (PHOTO GALLERY)

At Huntingburg, the Raiders who lost 8 of the season’s 9 games, have now won two in a row with their first win in conference play over the visiting Braves.

Sophomore Jaden Hayes, a mid-season addition to the starting lineup led the way for Southridge with a career high 21 points.

Southridge, now 3-8 over all (1-3 PAC), host Northeast Dubois tonight (Saturday). Tip-off at 7:30pm. The game will be televised LIVE on NNDC (www.NewsNowDC.com/nndc-tv/) and NNDC-TV 183 (Time-Warner Cable).

Vincennes Lincoln 45 Jasper 44
At Vincennes, an NBA-length three-pointer at the buzzer allowed the Alices to survive a Big Eight Conference matchup over visiting Jasper.

Caden Conner’s heave hit the back of the basket, went straight up and fell back through for the winning 3 at the buzzer. Earlier, Jasper’s Eric Nordhoff’s putback gave the Wildcats a 44-42 lead with 13 seconds left in the game.

Elliot Prange and Austin Simmers each at 9 points to lead Jasper (5-3, 0-2 Big Eight) which had a five-game winning streak heading into Friday’s game at Alice Arena.

Jasper travels to Mt. Vernon Saturday (tonight) night.

South Knox 54 Northeast Dubois 27
At Dubois, the Jeeps were outscored 13-1 in the first quarter, a deficit too large to over as the lose to visiting South Knox in a Blue Chip Conference matchup.

Northeast Dubois (5-5, 1-2 in BCC) has now lost three of its last four. Jeeps visit Southridge tonight (Saturday).
