Attempted Vehicle Theft Results In Arrests On Drug Charges



Ferdinand (NNDC) – Two people, both from outside Dubois County now face drug charges here.

Ferdinand police say 28-year old Teresa Sturgill of French Lick and 28-year old Trent King of English were arrested Friday morning after officers were called to the Promising Properties apartment complex on West 8th Street.

There, police found four individuals trying to jump start a vehicle that did not belong to any them.

FPD says Sturgill was holding what are described as two black bags that contained Methamphetamine, Heroin, syringes and other “small” items associated with drug use.

Police also discovered an active warrant for Sturgill’s arrest from Orange County.

She’s now charged in Dubois County with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Schedule I Substance (Heroin), Possession of Paraphernalia, and false reporting. ┬áThe first two charges are felonies.

FPD says King was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia.

The two others with Sturgill and King were not charged and were ordered off the property by its owners.
